Amendment to Change the Membership Fee
The Board of Trustees is always working on ways to keep costs down for the residents of Sunrise Bay. A recent example of this is the installation of the solar system installed on the clubhouse that has cut energy costs by about fifty percent from last year. One of the initiatives to minimize costs to our members is a proposed amendment that would increase the membership fee that is collected at closing from new purchasers.
On February 1, 2023, a letter was mailed to all Lot Owners of the Sunrise Bay Homeowners Association. The letter includes a proposed amendment to the Bylaws that will allow for an increase from $ 500.00 to $ 1,080.00 in the membership fee that is collected from ALL NEW OWNERS when they close on their homes. Along with the proposed amendment is a rejection ballot for owners to send to the management office ONLY IF THEY DISAPPROVE AND REJECT the proposed amendment.
The increase to the membership fee will minimize the impact of the recent inflation on the maintenance fee because the money collected will be used to maintain the common elements and further assist the Board with efforts to keep up with the needs of the community as it ages.
If you are in favor of this proposed amendment, please tell your neighbors and the Board of Trustees. No other action on your part is necessary.
We hope you will support this initiative.
